Armed Robbers Steal 107K At Ransbert Super Market Tarkwa

Unmasked armed robbers in a Hollywood movie style robbed Ransbert super Centre in broad daylight and bolted with a sum of 107, 214.70 cedis at the company’s premises at Kawirikwano a suburb in Tarkwa yesterday.

In an exclusive interview with Space news, manageress Of Ransbert super Centre Mabel Gyedu said the incident happened between 9:30 to 10am and the was captured on CCTV camera.

According to her, two men on mortorbike executed the well planned and coordinated heist.

Miss Gyedu revealed that one of the robbers entered the supermarket, bought a drink and later made a phone call. All this while, there was a billion van that had pulled at the parking lot to take some sales made over the weekend to the bank.

She said as soon as the teller cane outside with the money heading towards the van, the other armed man on motorbike fired a warning shot ostensibly to disperse customers and alert his other accomplice who was loitering I front of the supermarket with the drink in his hand.

He then pulled a gun at the female teller , snatched the money amidst firing, shot into the bullion van before joining the other on the waiting motorbike and sped off.

No staff or customer was injured.

Neighbours and eyewitnesses near the super Centre told Space News Of their shock at the crime whiles others said it is worrying to witness such serious crime happen so close and hope the security services get to the bottom of it.

Police are investigating but the suspects remain at large.
