CEO of Max-Palasco Group of Companies honored with Doctorate of Humane Letters Degree
The Elohim Theological College and Seminary, an affiliate of Apostolic University (USA), on Friday 22nd November, 2024 conferred an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree on the CEO and Board Chair of Max-Palasco Group of Companies, Mr. Maxwell Palasco Boakye.
This distinguished recognition was in appreciation of Dr. Palasco’s significant and enduring contributions to humanity and Society.
The honorary degree was presented to Palasco by Dr. Kwame Aburam Anoff Senior, President of the institution, during a special ceremony held at Selikus Hotel, Wasa Akropong in the Amenfi East Municipality of Ghana’s western Region on November 22, 2024.
In a gesture of acknowledgment for Dr. Maxwell Boakye’s philanthropy and positive impact, the college presented him with a doctorate gown, citation, and medal, symbolizing his altruistic nature and support for the less fortunate.
Receiving the honorary doctorate, Mr. Maxwell Palasco Boakye expressed gratitude to the Elohim Theological College and Seminary, an affiliate of Apostolic University (USA) and reiterated his dedication to promoting education and development in the country.
He also pledged his continuing support for the maintenance of peace and national unity before, during, and after the December 7 Elections. “Let me express my profound gratitude to the Chancellor, Chair members of the Council of this great institution for the honour bestowed me today. It is an honour, which I accept with humility and dedicate this honor to my late mom, Agnes Appiah of blessed memory. I owe a debt of gratitude to the academic community, our mentors, and the institutions that have nurtured my dreams and ambitions,” Dr. Maxwell Palasco Boakye emphasized.
Dr. Maxwell Palasco Boakye also indicated that “receiving this prestigious recognition is not merely a personal achievement; it is a testament to the collective efforts of individuals who have dedicated their lives to the betterment of society, and as the only young man among them, he advised the youth never to give up on their dreams. This honorary Doctorate would also serve as a motivation for others to give of their best in whatever endeavor they find themselves in since somebody somewhere would be watching them.”.
Conferring the degree at a ceremony, Dr Kwame Aburam Anoff Senior said: “We have observed that most institutions honour individuals only when they are no more, but our institution decided not to do so because we believed posthumous honors do not carry weight on individuals.
“We have representatives in Districts, Municipalities and Regions that provide us with the required information as to who deserves to be honoured. With us, you cannot tell us you have money, so we should honour you. One must introduce you to us first, and then our monitoring team will do their assessment and write their report.
“Our monitoring team does not deal directly with the individual selected to be honoured. They engage those around that person because we do not want anyone to influence them with money or gift,” the president revealed.
