I Will Not Contest For Prestea Huni-Valley Seat Again – Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi

Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency, has announced her decision not to contest in future elections following the party’s defeat in the recently held parliamentary polls.

In a statement issued on Sunday, December 22, 2024, the former MP expressed her disappointment over the outcome of the elections but highlighted her gratitude to party supporters and volunteers who dedicated themselves to the campaign.

Despite her personal investment in community development projects, the NPP was unable to secure victory in the constituency.

However, she declared her intention to step back from active political contests, citing the lack of tangible outcomes despite her tireless efforts.

“Personally, I’ve decided to step back, as one cannot continue to cast pearls for no meaningful outcome,” she stated.
